Choose an area for loading that is flat and stable.
- Secure the hydraulic lines to the backhoe. If caps are available, install the caps over the quick disconnect fittings. If caps are not available, connect the two fittings together.
- Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lifting and Tying Down" for information on tying down the backhoe.

The 242A, 257A, and 259B3 maximum saleable weight machine, if used in combination with a BH150 Backhoe, a hydraulic hammer, and either a quick coupler, a thumb, or a full water tank, will exceed the maximum total machine rated capacity, which may result in personal injury or death.
