Boom and Stick Cylinder Speed


NOTICE

Do not close the valve too far, or the hydraulic fluid could overheat.


Turn the screw clockwise to slow the boom speed. Turn counterclockwise to increase.

Turn the screw clockwise to slow the stick speed. Turn counterclockwise to increase.

Loosen locknut before adjusting screw. Retighten locknut after adjusting screw.

Retracting or Extending Boom

Place the boom in this position before operation begins.

Engage parking brake when leaving machine.

1. Dig a small trench for the bucket and stick to sit in.
2. Remove cotter pins (1) and pull boom retainers (2) out.
3. Move machine back until the holes align as above.
4. Insert retainers and cotter pins.

Two Piece Boom

The two piece boom permits boom reach to be extended or retracted, to one of three positions, for different applications.

For clamshell operation, the upper hole in the stub boom can be used to increase boom raise height.

Upper Structure Ladder Entry

Position the upper structure 90° from wheel alignment to gain easy access to upper structure for maintenance work.
