Quick Coupler Operation - If Equipped

Securing the Work Tool

------ WARNING! ------

Inspect the quick coupler engagement before operating the machine.

Serious injury or death may result from improperly engaged coupler.


  1. Position the work tool on a level surface.

  2. Retract the work tool cylinder. Position the quick coupler in alignment between the bosses of the work tool.

  3. Move stick (1) inward and lower stick (1) until the lower boss engages the pivot pin (2) of the work tool.

  4. Extend the work tool cylinder in order to rotate the quick coupler toward the work tool until the upper boss engages linkage pin (3) of the work tool.

  5. Engage both locking pin assemblies (4) on the quick coupler.

  6. Raise the boom or raise the stick. The work tool is locked in place. The work tool is ready to use.

Releasing the Work Tool

------ WARNING! ------

Disengaging the coupler pins will release the work tool from control of the operator.

Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the work tool when it is in an unstable position or carrying a load.

Place the work tool in a safe position before disengaging the coupler pins.


  1. Level the work tool on the ground.

  2. Disengage both locking pin assemblies (4) on the quick coupler .

  3. Retract the bucket cylinder in order to remove the quick coupler from linkage pin (3).

  4. Raise stick (1) and move stick (1) away from the machine in order to release the quick coupler from pivot pin (2) of the work tool.
