Main ladder in the DOWN position

(1) Main ladder

(2) Cable

To lower main ladder (1) from the ground, pull cable (2). The ladder will unlatch and the ladder can be pulled downward. Pull down on the ladder until the ladder is latched in the DOWN position.

Note: The main ladder will not extend all the way to the ground.

To lower the main ladder from the walkway, press lever (3) and push the ladder downward until the ladder latches in the DOWN position.

To raise the main ladder from the walkway, pull the ladder upward with handle (4) until the ladder latches in the UP position.

Service Ladder

Service ladder (5) in the UP position

Service ladder (5 ) is not intended to be used as a primary means of accessing the machine.

To lower service ladder (5) from the ground, pull cable (6). The ladder will unlatch and the ladder can be pulled downward.

Note: The service ladder will not extend all the way to the ground.

To lower the service ladder from the walkway, press lever (7) and push the ladder downward until the ladder latches in the DOWN position.

To raise the service ladder from the walkway, pull the ladder upward with handle (8) until the ladder latches in the UP position.

Alternate Exit

An alternate exit is provided on your machine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Alternate Exit" for more information.

Chain ladder (10)

Earlier machines are equipped with a chain ladder that is stored in a box on the catwalk. Refer to Illustrations 6 and 7.

Later machines are equipped with a secondary ladder below the catwalk. Refer to Illustration 8.
