Improper attachment of work tools could result in injury or death. Do not operate this machine until you have positive indication that the coupler pins are fully engaged. Check for engagement by: 1. Tilt the work tool down. 2. Put down pressure on the work tool. 3. Back the machine up and make sure there is not any movement between the work tool and the quick coupler assembly. |
- Position the work tool on a level surface.
- Tilt the quick coupler assembly forward.

Illustration 1 g00293564 - Align the quick coupler assembly (1) with the bosses (2) of the work tool. Move the quick coupler assembly under the bosses and rack back the work tool.

- Verify that the quick coupler pins are engaged by pushing down on the work tool before you operate the machine.

Disengaging the coupler pins will release the work tool from control of the operator. Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the work tool when it is in an unstable position or carrying a load. Place the work tool in a safe position before disengaging the coupler pins. |

Disconnect the hydraulic hoses before uncoupling the work tool from the machine in order to prevent the work tool from moving, and the possibility of injury or death. |

Auxiliary hoses for work tools must be removed before the quick coupler pins are disengaged. Pulling the work tools with the auxiliary hoses could result in machine damage. |
- Lower the work tool to a few inches above ground level. Then, lower the work tool to the ground by using the float function. Release the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic lines. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

NOTICE If you experience difficulty with connecting the auxiliary hoses repeat the procedure to relieve pressure. Attempting to relieve the pressure by force will damage the quick disconnect.
- Disconnect any auxiliary hoses.

- Disengage the quick coupler pins.
- Tilt the quick coupler assembly forward. Lower the quick coupler assembly away from the bosses of the work tool.
- Back away from the work tool.
