Personal injury or death can result from grease under pressure. Grease coming out of the relief valve under pressure can penetrate the body causing injury or death. Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Loosen the relief valve one turn only. If track does not loosen, close the relief valve and contact your AVSpare dealer. |
- Remove the cover plate for the track adjustment valve.

Illustration 2 g00825994 - Wipe fitting (1) before you add grease.
- Add grease through fitting (1) until the correct tension is reached.
- Operate the track back and forth in order to equalize the pressure.
- Check the amount of sag. Adjust the track, as needed.
- Replace the cover plate for the track adjustment valve.
- Repeat the same procedure for the other track.

- Remove the cover plate for the track adjustment valve.

Illustration 4 g00825994 - Loosen fitting (1) carefully until the track begins to loosen. One turn should be the maximum.
- Tighten fitting (1) to
34 N·m (25 lb ft) when the desired track tension is reached. - Operate the track back and forth in order to equalize pressure.
- Check the amount of sag in the track. Adjust the track, as needed.
- Replace the cover plate for the track adjustment valve.
- Repeat the same procedure for the other track.
