Crusher Tooth
- Open the jaws of the work tool.
- Lock the jaws in an open position. The following procedure describes maintaining the jaws in the open position.
- In order to hold the movable jaw in the open position, install clamp gp (1) onto cover (2) . The clamp gp (1) must be installed behind guide block (3) for the cover. Refer to Table 1 for the part numbers of the clamp gp.

Clamp GP for the hydraulic cylinder
- In order to hold the movable jaw in the open position, install clamp gp (1) onto cover (2) . The clamp gp (1) must be installed behind guide block (3) for the cover. Refer to Table 1 for the part numbers of the clamp gp.
- Remove the nut and remove the bolt (4) .

- Remove the crusher tooth (5) .
- Clean the seat (6) for the crusher tooth.

- Inspect the seat (6) for wear.

VT-30, VT-40, VT-50 and VT-60 |
- When the dimensions of the tooth seat are not within the service limit dimensions, the tooth seat must be reworked back to the original dimensions of the tooth seat. Refer to table 2 and table 3 for dimensions of the seat.

- Install the new crusher tooth (5) .
- Coat the threads of the new bolt (4) with 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound .
Note: Use a new bolt and a new nut when the crusher tooth will be replaced.
- Install the new bolt (4) and install the new nut. Tighten the bolt and the nut.

Ripper Tooth
- Open the jaws of the work tool.
- Lock the jaws in an open position. Refer to , "Crusher Tooth" for the proper procedure.
- Remove the bolt (7) .
Note: On models VT-30, VT-40, and VT-50, the ripper tooth is installed onto the jaw with one bolt. On the model VT-60, the ripper tooth is installed onto the jaw with two bolts.

- Remove the ripper tooth (8) .
- Clean the seat (9) for the ripper tooth.

- Install the new ripper tooth (8) .
- Coat the threads of the new bolt (7) with 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound .
