Boom Mounted Straight Shear

When the shear is transported while attached to the host machine, close the jaw and position the shear so that the boom is as low as possible. For straight shears, the stick cylinder pin will need to be removed in order to position the boom as low as possible.

Rotate shears are equipped with a locking device (1) in order to lock the rotator. The locking device (1) prevents shear from rotating when the shear is transported. The location of the locking device (1) for each model is shown in the following illustration.

Rotate the shear until the device that locks the rotator is aligned. Install the locking device (1) for the rotator. Close the jaws of the shear.

Note: Before the shear is put back into operation, the locking device (1) must be removed.
