Installation Procedure for the <NOBR>494-6809</NOBR> Chassis Wiring Gp On Certain Hydraulic Excavators {1408, 6129} Caterpillar

Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.

Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.

Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service the equipment . These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your AVSpare dealer.

(GU-C1) Connect to Harness (4 poles): "780 PU", "779 WH", "A588 GN", "200 BK" (2) 7K-1181 Cable Strap (3) 494-6810 Harness

1. Connect (GU-C1) of harness (3) to the chassis harness at the rear of the cab.

   (GU-C4) Connect to Harness (2 poles): "A588 GN", "200 BK" (GU-C5) Connect to Hydraulic Lock Solenoid: "A588 GN", "200 BK"

2. Connect the ground wire to the frame.

3. Connect (GU-C4) to the chassis harness.

4. Connect (GU-C5) to the hydraulic lock solenoid.

   (GU-C2) Connect to Quick Coupler Solenoid (High Pressure): "780 PU", "200 BK" (GU-C3) Connect to Quick Coupler Solenoid (Low Pressure): "779 WH", "200 BK" (2) 7K-1181 Cable Strap (4) 132-5789 Clip (5) 4P-7581 Clip (6) 5P-4116 Hard Washer (7) 7I-2673 Cable Strap (8) 8T-4189 Bolt

5. Connect (GU-C2) to the Quick Coupler High Pressure Solenoid.

6. Connect (GU-C3) to the Quick Coupler Low Pressure Solenoid.

7. Secure the harness as shown.
