Firewall Preparation
- Fill the gap between the firewall and the governor motor bracket by sealing the bottom of the center firewall.
Adjust insulation (3) horizontally so the insulation is positioned as in Illustration 5 at (Z) .
Attach the insulation vertically to the bottom of the plate by overlapping by 35 mm (1.40 inch). The extra 15 mm (0.6 inch) will fill the gap toward the governor motor bracket.

Note: Access the area by removing the bottom cover and the governor motor bracket.
- Fill the gap between the firewall and the frame by sealing the bottom end of the firewall center.
Adjust insulation (4) on the left side horizontally so the insulation comes in contact with the side of the radiator. The extra insulation on the right side should be attached firmly when installing the governor motor bracket.
Attach the insulation vertically to the bottom of the plate by overlapping 20 mm (0.8 inch). The extra 20 mm (0.8 inch) will fill the gap toward the frame.
- Block the path between the cab and the firewall to block the heated air.
Adjust the insulation horizontally against insulation (4) .
Adjust the slit in the insulation to the bottom of the plate. The extra 20 mm (0.8 inch) will fill the gap toward the frame.
