| Please observe all safety practices in the completion of this product rework. Refer to Image 1.5.1 at the end of this document for the following rework instructions unless otherwise noted. 1. Uncouple the bucket or attachment from the Pin Grabber quick coupler as described in the "Operation" section of the OMM (media number SEBU7619). 2. Remove the Pin Grabber quick coupler from the machine by following the removal procedure in the "Quick Coupler Installation and Removal" section of the OMM (media number SEBU7619). 3. Remove the two retaining clips (item 17). 4. Remove the cylinder pin (item 3) from the Pin Grabber frame. 5. The cylinder group (item 1) will drop onto the frame. This can now be raised out of the Pin Grabber frame by placing a sling around the cylinder body. Once raised out of position, this should be secured. A Long bar can be inserted through the pin hole to keep the cylinder raised. The blocking bar is now exposed. 6. The two retaining plate hex socket head bolts (item 20) can now be removed (4mm hexagon drive is required for removal of the bolts). 7. Remove the retaining plate (item 18). 8. Slide the blocking bar assembly (items 9, 11, 12 & 13) off of the insert (item 14). 9. The insert (item 14) should be checked for damage. Clean any dirt off of the insert and apply clean grease prior to installing the new blocking bar assembly. 10. The new blocking bar assembly should consist of the blocking bar (item 13), the spring (item 11), the bearing (item 12), and the lube fitting (item 9). Clean grease may be applied to the bushing prior to assembly on to the insert (item 14). 11. Slide the blocking bar assembly onto the insert (item 14). 12. Install the retaining plate (item 18) and the two retaining plate hex socket head bolts (item 20). Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm. Check that the blocking bar assembly is free to swing on the insert (item 14). 13. Install the blocking bar assembly and cylinder group (item 1) back into the coupler frame. 14. Align the blocking bar assembly and cylinder group pin bore with the coupler frame pin bores and install the cylinder pin (item 3). 15. Install the two retaining clips (item 17) to retain the cylinder pin (item 3). 16. Ensure the blocking bar assembly is free to swing. 17. Grease may be applied to the blocking bar grease nipple (item 9). 18. Install the Pin Grabber quick coupler onto the machine by following the installation procedure in the "Quick Coupler Installation and Removal" section of the OMM (media number SEBU7619). 19. Reattach the bucket or attachment to the Pin Grabber quick coupler as described in the "Operation" section of the OMM (media number SEBU7619). |
