| This program replaces the previous program, PI10601, which was cancelled due to the population and parts needing to be updated for US & NON-US machines. A Warning Film needs to be installed on certain 365B, 365B Series II, 365C, 385B, and 385C Excavators that are equipped with Boom Lowering Check Valves (BLCV). The 153-5140 Seat within the BLCV may fail if the pressure from the bleed-off valve is not released properly before disconnecting the tube connected to the BLCV. This may result in personal injury or death. |

| Install a Warning Film on the pipe connected to each of the BLCVs in order to alert mechanic to release the system pressure before disconnecting the pipe in accordance with the Disassembly and Assembly Manual. Warning Film 269-1938 is equivalent to Warning Film 285-4282 with "WARNING" typed on. Machines located in the US should have the Warning Film 269-1938, while Machines NOT located in the US should have the Warning Film 285-4282 Machines from group 1 & 2 should NOT be located in the US, therefore apply film 285-4282. Machines from group 3 & 4 should be located in the US, therefore apply film 269-1938. In the case of mismatch, thank you to correct as per above rule. Notice that Machines from group 3 have already been reworked with PI10601 but with improper film. They have to be rewoked with correct Warning Film 269-1938 instead of Warning Film 285-4282. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure. |
