Certain cracks in the boss casting material can cause damage beyond repairability. A typical example for such a crack is shown in Image 1. If this type of crack is detected, the stick should be replaced.

The potentially affected castings can be identified. The castings show only a part number (no further markings). A typical example for 320C is shown in Image 2.

For the replacement procedure of the stick refer, to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual for the respective machine model.
