The flange on certain hydraulic hose couplings may have been incorrectly brazed. This incorrect operation may lead to failure of the coupling at the flange. The failure of this coupling could result in unexpected high pressure oil leakage and machine movement with the potential for serious injury or death.
The affected machines will need to have the listed hose assemblies replaced with a new hose assembly. |

Replace the affected hoses. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.
NOTE: Only certain machines will require the following parts:
330D 4I-3695 Hose Assembly is only required on the 12'-10" (3.9m) stick
330D 087-6643 Hose Assembly is only required on the 10'-6" (3.2m) stick
330D 5I-3088 Hose Assembly is only required on the 8'-4" (2.55m) stick
345D 292-7593 Hose Assembly is only required on the 11'-2" (3.4m) stick
345D 212-5326 Hose Assembly is only required on the 8'-2" (2.5m) stick
NOTE: Hose assemblies or hose couplings in AVSpare parts or dealer inventory are not affected by this issue. This issue only applies to the hose assemblies installed at the factory on the affected product. |

New hose assemblies need to be installed on the products listed below. The flanges on the hose assemblies were manufactured incorrectly and may fail. A failure of the flange may result in unexpected high-pressure oil leakage and machine movement with the potential for serious injury or death. Do not operate the machine until these hose assemblies have been replaced. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local AVSpare dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 11Sep2008 when scheduling this service.
