The 267-7639 Switch Assembly needs to be installed and the 265-0067 Valve Group needs to be replaced, if necessary, on certain 323DL Excavators. If the 267-7639 Switch Assembly is not installed and the correct 265-0067 Valve Group is not being used, the leveling function may not be properly performed.

Inspect all 265-0067 Valve Group-Solenoids that are in dealer parts stock. If a blue W letter is marked at the function plate, remove the valve group from parts stock and do not use. If a red V is marked at the function plate, the valve should be placed back into stock and can be used. Refer to Image 1.

Rework Procedure

1. The 267-7639 Switch Assembly installation.

1.1 - Remove Right Side Control Panel Cover (1) as shown in Image 1.1.1

1.2 - Connect the 267-7639 Switch Assembly to the connector that has the gray wire L978 (refer to Electrical Schematic, KENR8266, if necessary). Attach Switch (2) to Cover (1) and reassemble to the right side control panel. Refer to Image 1.2.1.

2. Inspection and replacement of the 265-0067 Valve Group-Solenoid

Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, RENR7500, for general recommendations and system pressure release.

2.1 - Remove Bottom Panel (3) to access the valve group. Refer to Image 1.3.1.

2.2 - Inspect the function plate letter color at the installed solenoid valve, as shown in Image 1.4.1.
- If a red V letter is marked, the correct 265-0067 Valve Group-Solenoid is being used and no action is required.
- If a blue W letter is marked, replace the 265-0067 Valve Group-Solenoid with a new one.

2.3 - To replace the 265-0067 Valve Group-Solenoid, loosen and remove Bolts (4). Remove the Valve Group-Solenoid (5) and install the new one. Apply a light coating of clean hydraulic oil to the o-rings before installation. After installed, tighten the bolts to a torque of 6.9 +/- 0.7 Nm.
