This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10552" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code.
Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI10552" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The one piece boom needs to be inspected on certain 323D excavators. The existing boom can prematurely fail due to a defective butt weld located on the top side of the boom. This may result in personal injury or death.
The purpose of this Safety PIP is to identify the 6 machines on which these potential defective booms are installed. A welding expert will visit these 6 machines for accurate ultrasonic inspection and will recommend the dealers to replace the booms if needed.
