The existing servo pin can become loose in the main hydraulic pump on certain 330D, 330D L, 330D MH, 345C, 345C L, and 345C MH Excavators. If the servo pin is loose, it will cause one of the track motors to work slower and consequently the machine will drift in one direction.

1. If the one track motor is slower than the other, and other troubleshooting has not helped determine the root cause, perform the following procedure to determine if the servo piston is the root cause of the problem.

Please contact AVSpare Product Support Engineer, Patrick Haest (HAEST_PATRICK@cat.com or +32 71 25 3108) or Philippe Marchand(MARCHAND_PHILIPPE@cat.com or +32 71 25 2983) who will arrange for a new pump to be sent to you and will provide you with the address where the original pump needs to be sent to.
Please be ready to provide Patrick or Philippe with a photo of the pump's Serial Number (as in the attached image) and your address.

2. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, RENR8612 for 345C and RENR8648 for 330D, to remove and install the main hydraulic pump.

3. Plug all the open ports on the replaced pump.

4. Return the replaced pump to the address provided by Product Support.
