PRODUCT SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR REPLACING THE SWING DRIVE SHAFT ON
CERTAIN 205B, 206B, 211B, 212B EXCAVATORS

NOTE: This Program can only be administered after a
failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the
program is made by the dealer. When reporting the
repair, use "PS6086" as the Part Number, "7755" as
the Group Number, and "96" as the Warranty Claim
Description Code.

Some Swing Drives on certain 205B, 206B, 211B and 212B Excavators
may not provide acceptable service life. The reason is a crack on
the Swing Drive Shaft occurring on the base of the thread.

Dealers will need to order parts for this Program.
1 - 8U4981 Drive Shaft
1 - 8U9338 Washer
1 - 8U9337 Nut

1. Remove the Swing Drive and disassemble Shaft as shown in the
Service Manual SENR4346.
2. Check whether the Swing Drive Shaft is broken at the base of
the thread.
3. If broken, replace the 8U4981 Drive Shaft with a new one.
The part number has not been changed.
4. Re-assemble using the new 8U9338 Washer and 8U9337 Nut.

Submit one claim per reworked unit.
