Problem

In some applications, the track adjuster of certain 320
Excavators may seize, resulting in the impossibility to adjust
the track tension.

320L 3XK1-2167
320N 9WG1-1191

Parts Needed

1 - 7Y1780 Cylinder

Action Required

Replace the seized piston and cylinder with new ones. Change the
related seals. During the reassembly of the adjuster, thoroughly
grease the piston outside diameter, the cylinder inside diameter,
and the seal grooves (see Illustration attached).
To avoid air in the bottom of the cylinder or in the piston
fill-relief hole (see Illustration - Notes D and E), fill the
cylinder with grease, so that the grease comes out through the
fill-relief piston hole during assembly.
