Note: Before assembly, use black molybdenum grease cartridge in order to coat all the pin bores.

(1) As required, use the following shims in order to adjust the maximum lateral clearance to 1.0 mm (0.04 inch):

Thickness of the 158-3852 Shim ... 0.5 mm (0.02 inch)
Thickness of the 093-0077 Shim ... 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)
Thickness of the 093-0109 Shim ... 2.0 mm (0.08 inch)

Note: Clearance between the pin end (2) and the side of the cab must be kept over 10.0 mm (0.39 inch).

(2) 330-2766 Pin As

Pin diameter ... 139.85 ± 0.04 mm (5.506 ± 0.002 inch)
Bore diameter for the pin assembly ... 140.05 ± 0.05 mm (5.514 ± 0.002 inch)

(3) 208-1941 Pin As

Pin diameter ... 139.850 ± 0.040 mm (5.5059 ± 0.0016 inch)
Bore diameter for the pin assembly ... 140.05 ± 0.05 mm (5.514 ± 0.002 inch)

(4) As required, use the following shims in order to adjust the maximum lateral clearance to 1.0 mm (0.04 inch):

Thickness of the 208-1972 Shim ... 0.5 mm (0.02 inch)
Thickness of the 208-1973 Shim ... 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)
Thickness of the 208-1974 Shim ... 2.0 mm (0.08 inch)

(5) Torque for two nuts ... 30 ± 7 N·m (266 ± 62 lb in)

Use the following procedure in order to tighten two bolts (11) :

  1. Install the plate (6) in order to fit the counterbore of the plate (7) with the boss (8) .

  1. Before you install, get the plate (7) near to the boss side.

  1. Tighten moderately the bolt (9) so that plate (6) should not loosen before tighten the bolts (11) .

  1. Tighten the bolts (11) in order to touch the plate (7) .

  1. Fix the bolts (11) by tighten the locknut (10) .

  1. Tighten the bolt (9) once the bolts (11) tighten to the torque.
