The monitoring system on the M300C is an input and an output of the Machine Control System. The Machine Control System communicates back and forth on the CAN data link. The monitoring system consists of the following components: display with numerous screens and menus, keypad, indicators and gauges. These components will be described throughout this section of the manual.
The Monitor informs the operators of the status of the machine. The monitor includes a graphic display that allows the operator to view information that pertains to machine functions.

The monitor communicates with the machine control ECM, the engine control and the soft switch panel via the CAN data link. The CAN data link connects to the machine control ECM at connector contact J1-6 (wire F712-GY) and connector contact J1-18 (wire F711-GN). The CAN data link connects to the machine interface connector for the engine at connector contact 61 (wire F712-GY) and connector contact 52 (wire F711-GN). The monitor has a DEUTSCH DT 8 pin male connector. The contact description of the connector for the monitor is in table 1.
