The generator function allows the low flow generator and high flow generator to be used on different machine models.
When the generator switch is open, the generator solenoid is de-energized and the generator is activated.
When the generator switch is closed, the generator function is always disabled. When the generator switch is closed, contact J1-29 is closed to ground at J1-9. The generator solenoid is then energized by an ECM output as shown in the illustration above.
If the generator function is installed on the machine, the AVSpare Electronic Technician is used to inform the ECM that the generator is installed. Use Cat ET in order to select the generator as the active tool.
