The following sequence occurs when the key switch is turned to the ON position.
- The action alarm sounds for .5 second. The action lamp and all of the gauges illuminate for 3 seconds. The display shows a series of screens that evolve into the "AVS" logo within approximately 2 seconds.
- If a password is required, the display will show the password menu.
- The monitor will show "START AID" if the starting aid system is activated.
- The monitor checks the following items: hydraulic oil level, coolant level, engine RPM and engine oil level. If the three levels are OK, the monitor will show "LEVEL CHECK COMPLETE".
If the level switch (engine coolant) is open, the display will show "ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL LOW".
If the level switch (engine oil) is open, the display will show "ENGINE OIL LEVEL LOW".
If the level switch (hydraulic oil) is open, the display will show "HYDRAULIC OIL LEVEL LOW".
If the level check has not been completed and the engine is running, the display will show "LEVEL CHECK CANCELLED".
If any of these conditions are detected, the text will show each of the conditions for two seconds.
- After the level check, the monitor checks the operating hours on the filters and fluids. If one of the fluids or filters is due for changing, the display will show "CHECK FILTER/FLUID HOURS". This display is shown for five seconds.
- After all checks are complete or when the engine is started, the Monitor will show the default display. The default display is illustrated below.

Clock (1) - This display indicates the time.
Travel Speed Indicator (2) - This display indicates the speed of the machine while the machine is moving. Note: The Travel Speed Indicator will display on machines with the following serial number ranges: BDR2001-UP, BDM2001-UP, BDX2001-UP, BCZ2001-UP, BDK2001-UP, BDY2001-UP, BEB2001-UP, H2A1-UP, H2B1-UP, H2C1-UP, H2D1-UP, H2E1-UP, H2F1-UP and H2G1-UP.
Selected Tool (3) - This display indicates the tool that has been selected by the operator.
Selected Gear (4) - This display features three different transmission gear selections. "TRAVEL SPEED HIGH" and "TRAVEL SPEED LOW" are displayed when the transmission control switch is pressed. "CREEPER SPEED" is displayed when the creeper speed switch is pressed.
