Fan Control Knob (1) - The fan control knob directly controls the fan speed. The code that controls the fan is sent to the control module. If the climate control system is operating in the automatic mode, rotating this knob overrides the automatically selected fan speed. Rotate the fan control knob clockwise in order to increase the fan speed. Rotate the fan control knob counterclockwise in order to decrease the fan speed. One detent of the fan control knob equals one fan speed. The symbol for the fan is added to the display and the bar graph for speed control is added to the display. The bar graph changes in length as the fan speed changes. The fan control knob will continue to rotate beyond the range of control. Rotate the fan control knob in the opposite direction in order to change the fan speed.

Full "AUT" Display

Control Panel

Automatic Temperature Control Switch (2) - Press the "AUT" button for fully automatic operation of the climate control system. Full automatic mode may be enabled at any time. The "AUT" symbol, the temperature setpoint and the symbol for recirculation appear in display (6). Full automatic mode controls the temperature setpoint and the air outlets. The ambient temperature determines the air outlets that are used. The control module closes the door assembly. In the manual temperature mode, pressing the "AUT" switch will cause the control panel to send a code for the automatic mode to the control module. The "AUT"symbol will appear in the display instead of the "HAND" symbol. The control module will actuate the air conditioner clutch or the door assembly. The control module automatically regulates the fan speed in order to maintain the desired temperature.

Air Outlet Selection Switch (3) - Press the air outlet selection switch in order to cycle through the different positions. The code that controls the position of the air outlets is sent to the control module. Hold the switch down in order to scroll through the different positions. After the switch is depressed for one second, the display will change at a rate of 2 positions per second. The symbol in the display will show the changed position. The air outlets are selected automatically when the system is in automatic mode "AUT".

Defrost or Dehumidify Operation.

Selection of either of the defrost modes will enable the compressor. The air is dehumidified while the compressor is operating. Operating the compressor will also defog the windows. The compressor operates in automatic "AUT" mode only. The compressor is protected from operation during cold temperatures.

Fresh Air Control Closed position (4) - Push fresh air switch (4) in order to change the positions of door of the fresh air inlet. The symbol in the display will show the selected position. When this position is selected, the fresh air inlet is closed. The air will recirculate inside the cab.

Open Position - When this position is selected, the door to the fresh air inlet is open. Fresh air will be drawn into the cab.

Note: The door for fresh air ventilation may automatically close for a few minutes when the machine is started and the system is in automatic mode. This will help to bring the air temperature to the setpoint more quickly.

Temperature Control Knob (5) - If the climate control system is in the automatic mode, rotate the temperature control knob in order to change the temperature setpoint. The temperature setpoint controls the temperature of the air that is coming from the air outlets in order to maintain the temperature setpoint. The preset temperature appears on display (6). One detent of the temperature control knob equals one degree F. One detent of the temperature control knob equals one half of one degree C. The temperature control knob will rotate continuously. Rotate the temperature control knob in the opposite direction in order to change the temperature setting.

Display for Maximum Heating

The max setpoint is 32 °C (89 °F). The max setpoint will appear on the monitor as Illustration 6. The system will output maximum heat. To cancel maximum heat, rotate the temperature control knob in a counterclockwise direction. The minimum setpoint is 15.5 °C (60 °F). The minimum setpoint will appear on the monitor as Illustration 7. The system will output maximum cooling. To cancel maximum cooling, rotate the temperature control knob in a clockwise direction. Both maximum functions are full automatic modes.

Manual Override of Automatic Temperature Control

Heat Only

Push temperature control knob (5) in order to control the temperature manually. The temperature setpoint is cleared in display (6). Rotate the temperature control knob clockwise in order to increase the temperature. The temperature range is between one and fifteen. One is the coolest temperature setting and fifteen is the warmest temperature setting. This value is shown on the display. This mode controls the heater. The air conditioner will not run in this mode.

English Versus Metric Toggle

The temperature can be displayed in either English or Metric units. In order to toggle between English and Metric readouts, multiple keys must be pressed. With the system ON, press the automatic temperature control switch (2) and then press the temperature control knob (5). This will toggle the display between Degrees Celsius and Degrees Fahrenheit.
