The steering console includes the features that are described below.
The indicators for left turn and parking brake (1) are located at the left side of the steering console. The indicators for high beam and right turn (2) are located on the right side of the steering console. The hazard switch (3) is also located on the steering console. On the right side of the steering column is the turn signal/lights/wiper control lever (4). The transmission control lever (5) is on the left of the steering column.

The differential lock switch (6), the left brake pedal (7), the right brake pedal (8), steering column tilt lever (9) and the accelerator pedal (10) are located below the steering column. A large storage compartment (11) is located below the front dash.

The right console contains the key start switch (27) located to the left of the gauge cluster. The gauge cluster includes the engine coolant temperature (28), tachometer (29) and fuel level gauges (31). The monitor display (30) is in the center of the gauge cluster. The following switches are located below the gauge cluster:

The joystick for the loader (49) uses a mechanically controlled loader valve. Located on the front of the joystick is the transmission neutralizer switch (50). The parking brake release lever (47) is located at the front of the parking brake lever.

The backhoe joysticks (51) with a pilot controlled backhoe valve are shown. The left pilot joystick is equipped with thumb switches to control the auxiliary functions (if equipped) and a horn switch. The right joystick is equipped with a thumb switch to control the Extendable-Stick (if equipped) or a hammer (if installed). The boom lock lever (52) locks the boom in place for machine travel. The pilot control pod lever (53) allows adjustment of the pilot lever pods.

The default pattern for the joystick is the "excavator" pattern. The alternate pattern for the joystick is the "backhoe" pattern. The pattern for the joystick is selected using the joystick pattern switch (55) which is located to the right of the operator seat. A storage compartment (56) is also located next to the pattern switch for the joystick.

The switch for the joystick pattern (55) controls two solenoids that allow the backhoe controls to change from an "excavator" to a "backhoe" control pattern. Press the top of the switch in order to select the "excavator" pattern. Press the bottom of the switch in order to select the "backhoe" pattern.

The fuse panel (60) is shown with the cover (62) removed. The fuse panel includes a decal (63) that lists the machine fuses and relays.
Note: There are six fuses (not visible) for the three power relay modules. The fuses are located next to the fuse panel. Part of the console must be removed to access the power relay module fuses.
