Pilot pump (18) sends pilot system oil through line (4) to pilot manifold (5). The pilot system oil then flows through line (6) to the following components: the proportional solenoid valve (bucket cylinder head end) (7) and the proportional solenoid valve (bucket cylinder rod end) (16) .

When the joystick for the bucket is operated, an electrical signal from the joystick is sent to the machine ECM. The machine ECM energizes the proportional solenoid valve for bucket cylinder head end (7) .

When the proportional solenoid valve for bucket cylinder head end (7) is energized, pilot oil shifts the spool in bucket control valve (9). The oil delivery from front pump (19) and rear pump (20) flows from passage (8) through bucket control valve (9) to load check valve (10). Pump oil then flows through flow compensator valve (12) to passage (11). Pump oil then flows through bucket control valve (9) to passage (14). Pump oil in passage (14) then flows through line (3) to the head end of bucket cylinder (1) .

The oil from the rod end of bucket cylinder (1) flows through line (2) to passage (13). Return oil in passage (13) flows to control valve (9), and then to return passage (15). The oil in return passage (15) then flows to the return hydraulic system and hydraulic tank (17) .

BUCKET OPEN

The BUCKET OPEN operation is similar to the BUCKET CLOSE operation.

When the joystick for the bucket is operated, an electrical signal from the joystick is sent to the machine ECM. The machine ECM energizes the proportional solenoid valve for bucket cylinder rod end (16) .

When the proportional solenoid valve for bucket cylinder rod end (16) is energized, pilot oil shifts the spool in bucket control valve (9). The oil delivery from front pump (19) and rear pump (20) flows from passage (8) through bucket control valve (9) to load check valve (10). Pump oil then flows through flow compensator valve (12) to passage (11). Pump oil then flows through bucket control valve (9) to passage (13). Pump oil in passage (13) then flows through line (2) to the rod end of bucket cylinder (1) .

The oil from the head end of bucket cylinder (1) flows through line (3) to passage (13). Return oil in passage (13) flows to control valve (9), and then to return passage (15). The oil in return passage (15) then flows to the return hydraulic system and hydraulic tank (17) .
