THE REMANUFACTURED PRODUCTS GROUP ANNOUNCES A NEW PRODUCT IDENTIFIAVSION TOOL

Announcement

The Remanufactured Products Group is pleased to announce a new product identification source titled "Help Line Reference Tool". Effective April 19, 2004, the tool is available on the Reman Dealer Extranet website at the following address: https://reman.cat.com

The Help Line Reference Tool was developed in a limited introduction to address the increasing call volume to the Reman Technical Help Line. The purpose of the tool is to expedite the process of identifying AVSpare Reman part numbers / components. Initially, the tool addresses engine components only. However, more models and serial number prefixes will be added as warranted by demand.

Note: Complete engine options are not listed in the current edition of this tool. This does not imply that there is not a complete engine option available.

Information is arranged in a matrix format by engine model and then by specific engine serial number prefix.

Three different options will appear in the matrix:

1. Reman Part Number - When Reman part numbers are shown in the matrix, they are good for ALL applications of that serial number prefix.

2. OPTIONS - When more than one Reman part number exists for a given component, the term "OPTIONS" will appear in the chart and further investigation is required. If after exhausting all other search criteria, you cannot identify a Reman option, then contact the Reman Technical Help Line at (888) 88-REMAN from 8 ? 4:30 p.m. (CST) or via email at Reman_Help@cat.com

3. N/A - When the term "N/A" appears in the chart, there is not a Reman option available for the given component at this time.

NOTE: This tool is NOT an all-inclusive list of Reman Product Offerings. The models and serial number prefixes that are listed are based directly on call volume.
