D6N/M AVS SystemOne? UNDERCARRIAGE

After 5 years of development, AVSpare is introducing an innovative new undercarriage system that will eliminate down time and significantly reduce customers? owning and operating costs.  SystemOne Undercarriage is the latest advancement in a century of undercarriage technology leadership and another example of AVSpare?s commitment to offering the best products and solutions to our customers.  With over 150,000+ hours of operation on customers? job sites and 24+ patents, SystemOne sets new industry standards for reliability and durability.

This new undercarriage works as a system to incorporate the best use of wear material for the link assembly, rollers, center tread idlers, and sprockets.  The system utilizes a rotating bushing design, which increases bushing life and eliminates the need for turns.  The rotating bushing combined with the extended life sprockets increases the life and dependability of the entire system.

SystemOne undercarriage has been tested and proven successful in multiple applications and conditions.  SystemOne is currently unavailable in quad or tri-link configurations.

SystemOne Components

?        Cartridge Design

The all-new cartridge design is sealed for life and has the following added features: a new revolutionary sealing system, synthetic oil, a factory set face load, and a newly developed retention system which eliminates end play.  Components are serviced at the ?link box? level, which helps to reduce the number of required piece parts needed for a link assembly.  A ?link box? consists of two links and two cartridges, which are assembled to precise specifications at the factory.

?        Track Link Design

The track link is an innovative stand-alone design.  SystemOne links have only one part number because the universal design eliminates the need for right and left links.  Sealability is independent of the link system to eliminate the possibility of oil loss.

?        Roller Design

The SystemOne roller has a taller flange to improve the guiding of the track and to help in side sloping applications.  Advanced features and reduced piece parts enhance the mounting of the rollers helping eliminate any flexing in the collars and avoiding oil loss.  This roller is maintenance free and serviced as a group only.

?        Carrier Roller

To assure that SystemOne undercarriage achieves total balanced wear, new carrier rollers with increased wear life are used.

?        Center Tread Idler

Using Center Tread Idlers (CTI) with SystemOne undercarriage has several benefits.  CTIs improve guiding and eliminate link ?scalloping.?  Utilizing these idlers will help with fine grading by giving the operator a smoother ride and better control.  CTI will provide customers with at least a 35% increase in system life.  The CTIs will last a minimum of two link assemblies.

?        Conventional Idler

SystemOne undercarriage can be retrofitted with today?s conventional idlers.  Although conventional idlers can be used, customers will not see the total benefits?increased wear life, smoother ride and fine grading control, improved track guiding?of SystemOne with CTI.  Conventional idlers will also still allow ?scalloping? on links.

?        Shoe Selection

Shoe selection is still key to maintaining the proper floatation while using the narrowest shoe possible.  There are several sizes in both moderate and extreme service available including center punched.  Due to bolthole spacing, current production track shoes are not interchangeable with SystemOne track shoes.  Master shoes are only required for tracks that are utilizing a ?clamp master link.?

?        Clamp Master Link

One of the unique features of SystemOne Undercarriage that improves reliability and durability of the track is a master style link is not required unlike traditional undercarriage.  The unique SystemOne ?straight? link design allows the track to be taken apart at any joint by using the proper AVSpare tooling to press the link on or off.  Although a clamp master link is available, it is not recommended for high impact conditions or machines using wide shoes in these types of application.

?        Link Assembly

When ordering a link assembly from parts, you must specify either two standard links or two clamp master links to install the track onto the machine.

SystemOne : A Total Undercarriage System

As the name implies SystemOne is designed to work and wear as a total system.  In order for customers to receive the maximum benefits of SystemOne undercarriage all aspects of the total undercarriage system should be addressed at SystemOne retrofit. In addition to the SystemOne moving undercarriage, the total system includes the track frame guiding, track frame recoil, equalizer bar and pivot shaft systems. Proper inspection and/or renewing these systems with the latest improvements at retrofit will assure optimum performance of SystemOne undercarriage.

A Total System - Proper Track Guiding

Proper track guiding is key to the longevity of the total undercarriage system, especially machines in uneven terrain, impact conditions, side sloping, and/or V-ditching. SystemOne undercarriage guiding (primary guiding) has been greatly improved over traditional guiding by utilizing taller roller and idler guiding flanges. However, proper set-up of track frame fixed guiding guards and wear strips (secondary guiding) is critical to insure SystemOne?s success. Three different guiding arrangements (set-ups) combine short center and full-length track guiding guards to match conditions of machine operation. These three guiding levels and corresponding arrangements are listed below:

Level I. (light guiding)           =     Machine Standard Guiding Arrangement

Level II. (moderate guiding)  =     Machine Moderate Service Guiding Arrangement

Level III. (heavy guiding)      =     Machine Heavy Duty Guiding Arrangement

Further details of these guiding arrangements are found in Special Instructions in the media table on the following page.

A Total System ? Proper Recoil Preload and Track Adjustment

SystemOne track bushings are free to rotate, reducing friction at the bushing contact points. This offers the superior advantage of reduced bushing, sprocket, and Center Tread Idler wear. Maintaining proper recoil system preload and track adjustment, work in conjunction with the reduced bushing friction to assure optimum SystemOne U/C performance. SystemOne factory equipped machines come with stronger recoil springs, to limit front idler recoil. Based on certain operating conditions, some tractors retrofitted to SystemOne may need this recoil spring upgrade.  Working with proper recoil preload is the maintenance of correct track adjustment. This assures smooth track operation, when set to the values listed below:

              Machines w/ Carrier Rollers: 55mm +/- 10mm

A Total System ? Equalizer Bar and Pivot Shaft Maintenance

The equalizer bar and pivot shaft systems control motion of the track frames and alignment of the undercarriage. Assuring proper working order of these systems will maximize SystemOne wear life and maintain proper undercarriage wear patterns. Equalizer bar and pivot shaft bearing surfaces, bearings, seals, and lubrication should be inspected and renewed (if necessary) when SystemOne is retrofitted.

Maintenance

As with any undercarriage, the proper maintenance can help prolong the life of the undercarriage system.  In addition to the moving undercarriage, machine components such as the track roller frame recoil spring, track frame guiding, equalizer bar, and pivot shaft systems need to be serviced or replaced during every undercarriage service point.  This preventative maintenance will improve the performance and life of the undercarriage, which in turn will reduce tractor down time.
