NEW HYBRID TRACK FOR TRACTORS, & LOADERS 8.50? (215.9mm) PITCH - 7/8? BOLTS

The new Hybrid track is available for the following specific machine models: 

Track Type Loaders

973C,  973

Elevated Sprocket Machines

D7H

The new Hybrid link assembly is a consolidation of the best features of (2) current production Sealed & Lubricated Track link assemblies. These are the 973 Hystat (EWL SALT) and D7H Elevated (SALT). Also, a sealed version is available for the 973. The new features of this track will help lower machine Owning & Operating (O & O) costs. When used in combination with tough steel sprocket segments, machine O & O costs will be further lowered.

Benefits of the new Hybrid track will be different, based on the machine model involved. The following is a list of Hybrid track features and benefits, per specific machine model.

Adaptability/Serviceability

Hystat Loaders: 973C, 973

?        The new Hybrid track is factory standard on 973C Tier II Hystat track loaders (reference IRM UC04 ? 21), and is adaptable to former 973?s.

?        The new link assembly maintains the same inner and outer link spreads, and fits onto current 973 track rollers, idlers, and carrier rollers. The track pin length is the same, so the new link assembly is interchangeable within existing 973 end and full-length track guiding guards.

?        The new track bushing has a larger outside diameter, which requires use with the new geometry, tough steel segment. Segment mounting hardware is the same.

?        The shoe bolt pattern and mounting hardware are the same. So, current shoes and hardware are interchangeable.

?        Due to the Hybrid consolidated improvements, individual piece parts within the link assembly are not interchangeable.

 

Elevated Sprocket Tractor: D7H

?        The new Hybrid track is adaptable to D7H tractors.

?        The new link assembly maintains the same inner and outer link spreads, and fits onto current D7H track rollers, idlers, and carrier rollers. The track pin length is the same, so the new link assembly is interchangeable within existing D7H end, center, and full length track guiding guards.

?        The new track bushing has the same outside diameter, so current D7H sprocket segments and mounting hardware are the same.

?        The new shoe bolt pattern has changed to the 973, which is different than the D7H. Mounting hardware has increased from 3/4? to 7/8?. So, current shoes and mounting hardware are not interchangeable with the new link assembly. The new Hybrid link assembly is priced lower than the former D7H SALT link assembly. This difference will provide the new (required) shoes at approximately half price. The increased Hybrid track wear life and improved track joint sealing, further contribute to the value of the retrofit.

?        The new shoes use the same shoe section, so performance and life will be the same. See Attachment I for list of new shoes for the D7H.

?        Due to the Hybrid consolidated improvements, individual piece parts within the link assembly are not interchangeable.

Custom Track Service (CTS)

Hystat Loaders: 973C, 973

?        The new Hybrid link has the same allowable wear material as the former 973 EWL link. The new link is slightly taller and the bushing bore slightly larger, see Attachment II for new link wear chart.

?        The new larger bushing and tough steel segment will increase the wear life of both components. The bushing to sprocket and bushing to link wear balance will also improve. Also, early hour cosmetic ?tip wear? of the sprocket will be reduced with the new profile segment (Reference IRM UC04-21). See Attachment II for new bushing wear chart.

?        Current 973 CTS wear charts are used for all other undercarriage components (shoes, rollers, idlers, carrier rollers).

 

Elevated Sprocket Tractor: D7H

?        The new Hybrid track has a taller link, providing approximately 20% more wear life over the D7H SALT link.  See Attachment II for new link wear chart.

?        The new bushing is the same outer diameter, but due to different depth gage wear measurements new wear chart is needed.  See Attachment II for new wear chart.

?        The allowable wear material for the Hybrid link is about the same as the D7H/R Heavy Duty and RBT track link. So, current D7H rollers, idlers, and carrier rollers will also have approx. 20% more wear life when matched with the new, taller Hybrid link. The ?Heavy Duty & RBT track? CTS wear charts for the track roller, carrier roller, and idler should be used to allow this extra wear life. These charts are in the D7H section of the 15th Edition Custom Track Service Handbook (PEKP9400) or software program CTS version 5.5.
