D10R/N, D10 POST TURN TRACK SEALS AVAILABLE Caterpillar

AVSpare now offers new ?Post Turn? Track Seals (PTS) available for all D10R/N, D 10 track.  These new seals have a smaller diameter than the original factory seals.  This smaller diameter seal should be used whenever a bushing with a maximum of 50% bushing end grooving (as measured with the 4C-8612 bushing end grooving gage) is being returned to service, such as during a bushing turn or re-seal.  The smaller diameter seal will contact a new, unworn bushing surface providing better seal reliability after service.

Adaptability

 Post Turn Seals are available as a parts service option for D10R/N, D10 tractors. Post Turn Seals are adaptable to and will retrofit all former D10R/N and D10 track, when used with new smaller diameter thrust ring 235-2213. The new smaller diameter thrust ring was effective on the D10R factory built machine (AKT0528 and UP).  Effective serial number of the link assemblies is PE015 & UP.

Servicing

 The original factory seal assembly (222-7001) is still available for use when bushings are replaced.  Bushings should be replaced at turn or re-seal due to end grooving only when the grooving exists inboard of the 4C-8612 end grooving gage.  See next page for ?Post Turn Seal Field Use Instructions?.
