Description of Change: The D7 size track idlers with a tread diameter of 628.0 mm (24.72 inch) have changed from a cast to a fabricated design. These idlers are used on D7R STD and D7R LGP tractors, as well as 572R Pipelayers. The fabricated track idler is visually identified by flat side plates with four gusset welds per side. See Illustration 1.

Adaptable To: The new fabricated track idler is adaptable to the machines listed above.

Parts Number Changes:

The new 192-0220 Track Idler Group is a direct replacement for the former 192-0216 Track Idler Group and uses the same internal components and mounting hardware as the former part. The new 192-0220 Track Idler Group uses the same Custom Track Service wear charts and has similar tread wear characteristics as the former part.

Note: The 197-7754 Track Idler Group that is used in landfill applications retains the same part number. However, 197-7754 Track Idler Group now uses the fabricated idler assembly instead of the cast.
