Improved 345 & 349 HEX PPR2 Track Link

Summary

PPR2 - Positive Pin Retention 2 track link for 345 & 349 Hydraulic Excavator has been improved to reduce stresses that can possibly lead to cracking.

The newly designed track link is only available with the PPR2 style of track link. The Non-PPR2 style of track link will not have these improvements. Since PPR2 is still an attachment on the price list, the exact serial number breaks for the improved link will be unknown.

Custom Track Service (CTS)

The new link has the same link rail height and wear characteristics as the old link, and therefore uses the same Custom Track Service (CTS) wear charts

Refer to Attachment II for the CTS wear charts.

Benefits

The new PPR2 link has more steel in the nut seat to reduce stresses that lead to cracking.
