D9R/N, D9L, 589 IMPROVED LINK ASSEMBLIES
New D9R TTT, 589 Pipelayers, and MTO track groups from the factory will contain new link assemblies, pins, and bushings. New link assemblies provide improved resistance to track galling and higher reliability of the track joint. The improved design will also be available on the non-current machines (D9N, D9L, 589). The old link assemblies, pin, and bushings will be cancelled and replaced by the new components that are now available in the parts department.

Servicing
Old link assemblies, track bushings, track pins, and track master pins are cancelled and replaced by the new iron. The rest of the components in the new and former link assemblies are common.
Custom Track Service (CTS)
When performing CTS use the current wear charts found in the 14th Edition of CTS Handbook (Media Number PEPK9400-02).
