D4 REDESIGNED MODERATE SERVICE TRACK SHOE (SINGLE GROUSER)
The current D4 moderate service track shoes are being cancelled and replaced by new track shoes made from the current D5M/D4H moderate service shoe section to provide improved strength. Due to the additional material in the curved leading front edge, the new track shoe section will provide additional coverage as the shoe travels around the sprocket and idler. See comparison of new and former track shoe cross-sections below.

Availability
The redesigned track shoe part numbers are now available in the Parts System.
Servicing
The new shoes have the same grouser height and plate thickness as the former shoes. The former and new track shoes are interchangeable and can be mixed on machines in the field.
Custom Track Service (CTS)
When performing CTS on track shoes use the following wear charts from the 14th Edition Custom Track Service Handbook (Media Number PEKP9400-02):
