D6R/D6M/D5M IDLER GROUPS WITH INCREASED WEAR MATERIAL
New idler groups with added wear material, increased center flange height, increased tread width, and additional material on inner rim are now available on machines from the factory and in the parts system. The new idler groups can be used on the following current and non-current machines:

The idler group on the 527 Skidder will be available on machines from the factory at a later date.
Part Number Information
The former idler group part numbers are being cancelled and replaced by the new idler groups. See Attachment I for new and former part numbers.
Servicing
Installation of the new idler groups on the D6M/D5H and D5M/D4H require minor modifications to the track roller frames for proper clearance and fit up, see Special Instructions:
- REHS1283 for D6M/D5H
- REHS1251 for D5M/D4H
No rework required to the track roller frames when installing the new idler groups on the D6R/D6H.

Identification of New Idler Groups
? D6M/D5H/D5M/D4H/561/ idler groups can be determined by measuring the tread width. The new idler assemblies are approximately 1/2" (13 mm) wider than the former idler assemblies. The following are the new tread width of the idler assemblies.
o D6M/D5H new tread width 6.80? (172.8 mm)
o D5M/D4H/561 new tread width 5.76? (146.4 mm)
? D6R/D6H/527 idler assemblies can be identified by 4 depressed pimples located in the idler side plates at approximately 6.00? (150 mm) radius from the centerline of the idler shaft.
Custom Track Service (CTS)
When performing CTS on the new idler groups, refer to Attachment II for new wear charts. If using the CTS 5.0 computer, use the following undercarriage codes:
