Connection Procedure

1. Thoroughly clean the track assembly, the sprocket, and the track rollers prior to connecting the track assembly.

2. Apply Tooling (C) to bushings (5) to hold bushings (5) in place. Install bushings (5) in the track links.

3. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to the track shoe, as shown. Use the lifting device to lift the track assembly into position.

4. Apply Tooling (C) in the master pin bores in the track assembly and on master pin (3). Install master pin (3) with a hammer and a punch. Install cotter pin (4) to retain master pin (3).

5. Install track shoes (2) over the master pin on the track assembly. Tighten eight bolts (1) that hold the two track shoes in place. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 245 ± 25 N·m (181 ± 18 lb ft). Then, turn the bolts by an additional 120° ± 5°.

6. Adjust the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust" for the correct procedure.
