Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision components. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected always.

Note: Check the O-ring ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the O-ring ring seals, if necessary.

1. Install mounting ring (18) on rotator motor (17).

2. Apply Tooling (A) to the hole of gear (16). Install gear (16).

3. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of set screw (15). Install set screw (15).

4. Install O-ring seal (13) and plug (14).

5. Install O-ring seals (11) and plugs (12).

6. Install pressure valve (4). Tighten pressure valve (4) to a torque of 71 ± 2 N·m (52 ± 1 lb ft).

7. Install valves (5). Tighten valves (5) to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (89 ± 18 lb in).

   Note: Make sure that the surface of the valves (5) that have two holes faces towards the outside of the manifold as shown in Illustration 5.

8. Install O-ring seals (10), O-ring seals (9), adapter assemblies (8), O-ring seals (7), and cap assemblies (6).

9. Install O-ring seals (3).

10. Install manifold assembly (1) and bolts (2).

Install the rotator motor and manifold.
