Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool. |
- Open the hood.
- Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Illustration 2 g06027050 - Disconnect cable assembly (5). Disconnect harness assembly (6). Loosen bolt (3) and remove the belt from alternator (4). Remove bolt (3) and bolt (7). Remove alternator (4).
- Install alternator (4). Install the washer and bolt (7) loosely. Install the washer and bolt (3) loosely.
- Install the belt and adjust the belt to the proper tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct adjustment procedure. Tighten bolt (7) and bolt (3).
- Connect harness assembly (6). Connect cable assembly (5).
