  1. Install swashplate setscrews (71) to the depth recorded during disassembly.

  2. Install dowels (70).

  3. Use a suitable press and Tooling (B) to install bearing (69) into pump insert (68).

  4. Install pump insert (67), retaining ring (36), and locator bushing (35) for driven end of the pump.

  5. Install bolts (65) and centering plate (66).

  6. Install port plate (64), screws (63), and gasket (62).

  7. Install O-ring seal (61) and new Teflon seal (60) onto counter-piston (57).

  8. Install O-ring seal (59) and new Teflon seal (58) onto stroking piston (56).

  9. Install the swashplate assembly onto barrel assembly (55).

  10. Install stroking piston (56) and counter-piston (57) into the swashplate assembly.

    Tying a nylon ribbon can help hold stroking piston (56) in place during assembly in the pump housing.

    Note: When inserting the rotary group, the counter-piston must be carefully inserted into the appropriate running bushing and the counter piston must be guided through the bore in the centering plate and inserted into its bushing. Line up the hole in the counter-piston with the access hole for the control assembly installation.

  11. Install Tooling (A) into barrel assembly (55). Use a suitable lifting device to install barrel assembly (55). Lifting barrel assembly in this state weighs approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

    Note: Ensure that the stroking piston and the counter piston are still locked in the holes of the swashplate.

  12. Remove Tooling (A) from barrel assembly (55). Remove the ribbon from stroking piston if used.

  13. Use suitable press to install bearing spacer (53) and bearing (54) onto shaft assembly (45).

  14. Install retaining ring (52) onto shaft assembly (45).

  15. Install shaft assembly (45) into bearing flange (48).

  16. Install stop screws (51) into bearing flange (48).

  17. Apply Tooling (G) onto screws (48).

  18. Install bearings (50) and screws (49) into bearing flange (48).

    Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.


  19. Use Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to install bearing flange (47). The weight of bearing flange (47) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

  20. Install bolts (46) into bearing flange (47).

  21. Use Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device to place the pump with the shaft pointing downwards. The pump assembly at this point weighs approximately 204 kg (450 lb).

  22. Install dowels (44).

  23. Install impeller wheel (43), retaining ring (42), and coupler (41).

  24. Use a suitable press and Tooling (B) to install bearing (40) into pump insert (38).

  25. Install pump insert (38), retaining ring (36), and locator bushing (35) for drive end of the pump.

  26. Install bolts (37) and centering plate (39).

  27. Install O-ring seal (31) and new Teflon seal (30) onto counter-piston (27).

  28. Install O-ring seal (29) and new Teflon seal (28) onto stroking piston (26).

  29. Install the swashplate assembly onto barrel assembly (24)

  30. Install stroking piston (26) and counter-piston (27) into the swashplate.

  31. Install Tooling (A) into barrel assembly (24). Use a suitable lifting device to install barrel assembly (24). Lifting barrel assembly in this state weighs approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

  32. Ensure that the stroking piston and the counter piston are still locked in the holes of the swashplate.

    Remove Tooling (A) from barrel assembly (24). Remove the ribbon from stroking piston if used.

  33. Install gasket (25).

  34. Use a suitable press to install bearing spacer (22) and bearing (23) onto shaft assembly (20).

  35. Install retaining ring (21) onto shaft assembly (20).

  36. Install shaft assembly (20) and stop screws (19) into bearing housing (15).

  37. Apply Tooling (G) to screws (17). Install bearings (18) and screws (17) into bearing housing (15).

  38. Use a suitable lifting device and guide pins to install bearing flange (15). The weight of bearing flange (15) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).

  39. Install bolts (16) into bearing flange (15).

  40. Install O-ring seal (14) into bearing flange (15).
