Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies for future assembly purposes. Plug all hose assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.


  1. Open the hood of the machine.

  1. Close the fuel shutoff valve.

  1. Use Tool (A) to remove fuel filter (4) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) from the fuel filter base. Plug the ends of the two hose assemblies.

  1. Remove bolts (3). Remove fuel filter base (1) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Position fuel filter base (1). Secure the fuel filter base with bolts (3) .

  1. Connect two hose assemblies (2) .

  1. Install a new fuel filter (4). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU742-01, "Fuel System Filter - Replace" for the correct installation procedure.

  1. Open the fuel shutoff valve.

  1. Close the hood of the machine.
