Removal Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Remove sheet (1) from below the engine.

  1. Drain the engine oil into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. The capacity of the engine crankcase and filter is approximately 17.5 L (4.62 US gal).

  1. Remove gauge (2). Remove bolt (3), and remove guide (4) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (5) from the guide.

  1. Disconnect electrical connector (6) .

  1. Remove bolts, and remove oil pan (7). Remove the gasket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the mating surfaces of both the oil pan and the engine. Install the gasket, and install oil pan (7). Secure the components with the bolts.

  1. Connect the electrical connector (6) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (5) on the guide.

  1. Install guide (4), and secure the guide with bolt (3). Install gauge (2) .

  1. Install sheet (1) under the engine.

  1. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7424-01, "Engine Oil Level - Check". Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7424-01, "Lubricants Viscosities and Refill Capacities".
