Note: Prior to assembly, ensure that all parts are thoroughly clean and free of foreign material. Coat all internal components with clean hydraulic oil during assembly.

Note: Check the condition of all O-ring seals that are used in the swing control valve. If any of the seals are worn or damaged, replace the seals with new parts.

------ WARNING! ------

Sudden release of spring force can cause injury.

To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the spring pressure.

  1. Install retainer (11), spring (10), spring (9), and retainer (8) on bolt (12) .

  1. Use Tool (A), Tool (B), and a press to install the retaining ring. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the remaining spring assembly (7) .

  1. Install spring assemblies (7) and tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 200 N·m (147 lb ft).

  1. Install spring (6) to cone (5). Install O-ring (4) to screw (3). Install cone (5) and spring (6) to screw (3). Install screw (3) in the swing control valve. Tighten screw (3) to a torque of 900 N·m (663 lb ft).

  1. Install cover (2). Secure cover (2) with bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 65 N·m (48 lb ft). Repeat for the opposite side of the control valve.

End By: Install the swing control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Valve (Swing) - Install".
