1.1. Removal Procedure

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.


  1. Remove the heat shield from the turbocharger.

  1. Loosen clamp (1). Loosen hose clamp (2). Remove elbow (3) .

  1. Disconnect three oil hoses (4) .

  1. Loosen two clamps (7). Remove hose (8) .

  1. Loosen clamp (5). Disconnect turbocharger (10) from exhaust pipe (9) .

  1. Remove the tube assembly from the bottom of the turbocharger.

  1. Remove four locknuts (6) .

  1. Remove turbocharger (10). The weight of the turbocharger is 26 kg (57 lb).
