  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device around blade cylinders (1). The weight of each blade cylinder (1) is approximately 64 kg (141 lb).

  2. Remove the retaining bolts (3) from pin assemblies (2) which fasten the head ends of blade cylinders (1) to the push arms.

  3. Record the number of shims (4) on each side of each blade cylinder (1) before you remove the pin assemblies (2).

  4. Remove pin assemblies (2) and lift blade cylinders (1).

  5. Position Tooling (C) across the track and lower blade cylinders (1) onto Tooling (C).

  6. Attach three slings, Tooling (A), Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to blade (5). The weight of blade (5) is approximately 454 kg (1000 lb). Use Tooling (B) to stabilize the blade.

  7. Remove retaining bolts (6) from the pin assemblies (7) which secure push arms (8) to the undercarriage frame assembly. Record the number of shims that are located on each side of each push arm (6). Remove pin assemblies (7) and remove the blade from the machine.

  8. Install Tooling (D) on one push arm. Remove the seals and the bearing. Repeat this Step for the remaining push arm.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install Tooling (D) on one push arm. Install the bearing and seal. Make sure that the seal lip faces outward. The seal must not extend past the face of the boss. Repeat this Step for the remaining push arm.

  2. Install Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device in order to position the blade (5). The weight of blade (5) is approximately 454 kg (1000 lb). Use Tooling (B) to stabilize the blade.

  3. Install pin assemblies (7) and the shims in order to fasten push arms (8) to the undercarriage frame assembly. Make sure that you install the proper number of shims on each side of each push arm. Install retaining bolts (6) for pin assemblies (7).

  4. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device around blade cylinders (1). The weight of each blade cylinder (1) is approximately 64 kg (141 lb).

  5. Lift blade cylinders (1), and remove Tooling (C).

  6. Lower blade cylinders (1). Install pin assemblies (2) and shims (4). Make sure that you install the proper number of shims (4) on each side of each blade cylinder (1). Install retaining bolts (3) for the pin assemblies.
