Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE INSTALLATION OR IN THE REMOVAL. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.
Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and cap all fittings. This helps prevent fluid loss, and this helps keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.
NOTICE |
---|
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
NOTICE |
---|
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil. Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. |

- Install pump (3). Secure the pump with bolts (6). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).
- Install tee assembly (1) on elbow assembly (2). Tighten tee assembly (1) to a torque of 108 ± 10 N·m (80 ± 7 lb ft).
- Connect hose assembly (5) to the elbow assembly (4) on the pump. Tighten hose assembly (5) to 190 ± 20 N·m (140 ± 15 lb ft).
- Check the hydraulic system oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities". Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".
