Start By:

  1. Remove the engine and the main hydraulic pump.

  1. Remove oil gauge assembly (1) and valve assembly (2).

  2. Remove oil level switch (4).

  3. Remove nuts (3) and sound suppression (5).

  4. Remove studs (6), bolts (7), and oil pan (8).

  5. Remove the gasket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install oil pan (8) in the reverse order of removal.

      Note: Clean the mating surface of engine oil pan (8) and the cylinder block.

    1. Apply Tooling (A) to four areas on the sealing surface of the engine block. Apply a 3.0 to 5.0 mm (0.12 to 0.20 inch) bead of Tooling (A) across the entire joint. The joints are Marked Location (X). The joints are at the following locations:

      • connecting joint of the front housing and the front of the cylinder block

      • connecting joint of the flywheel housing and the rear of the cylinder block

      Note: The gasket and oil pan (8) must be assembled within 10 minutes of the application of Tooling (A).

    2. Install oil level switch (4) to a torque of 120 ± 27 N·m (89 ± 20 lb ft).
