- If necessary, loosen nut (2) in order to remove tube assembly (1). Remove O-ring seal (3) and seal (4) from the tube assembly.
Note: Identify the position and orientation of the tube assembly.
Show/hide tableIllustration 2 g02443637 - Place a suitable container below engine oil pan (11). Remove drain plug (5) and drain the engine oil. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.
- Remove O-ring seal (7) from drain plug (6).
- Remove the cable strap that retains wiring harness assembly (10). Disconnect the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) wiring harness assembly from wiring harness assembly (10).
- If necessary, remove oil level switch (8) from engine oil pan (11). Remove O-ring seal (9) (not shown) from oil level switch (8).
- Support the assembly of the engine oil pan. Loosen the long bolts (12) and the two short bolts (14).
Note: Bobbins (13) are held captive by gasket (4).
- Remove the assembly of the engine oil pan from the engine.
- Remove gasket (5) and bobbins (13) from the sump.
- If necessary, remove the plate for the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan Plate - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
