Start By:
- Remove the hood. Refer to , "Hood - Remove and Install".
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Inspect/Replace".
- Disconnect brace (7) . Remove bolts (3) and (5) . Remove door assembly (4) . Remove bolts (2) and (6) . Remove panel assembly (1) .

- Remove fuel cap (8) and remove engine cover (9) .

- Remove bolts (11) and reposition oil filter base (10) .

- Remove bolt (12) and reposition bracket (13) away from counterweight (14) .

- Attach three of Tooling (A) to counterweight (14) . The weight of counterweight (14) for the 303.5D and the 304D is approximately 497 kg (1096 lb). The weight of the counterweight (14) for the 305D and the 305.5D is approximately 827 kg (1823 lb).

- Attach three of Tooling (A) to counterweight (14) . The weight of counterweight (14) for the 303.5D and the 304D is approximately 497 kg (1096 lb). The weight of the counterweight (14) for the 305D and the 305.5D is approximately 827 kg (1823 lb). Install counterweight (14) and install bolts (16) .
