1.1. Assembly Procedure

Assembly Procedure

    Note: Install shims (29) and piston (30). Install the required number of shims (29) in order to set a distance of 7.75 ± 0.10 mm (0.305 ± 0.004 inch) between guide assembly (28) and piston (30).

  1. Install O-ring seal (27), guide assembly (28), shims (29), piston (30), pin (31), ring (32), O-ring seal (34), flow control valve (35), O-ring seal (36), and plug assembly (37). Tighten guide assembly (28) to a torque of 35 ± 4 N·m (26 ± 3 lb ft). Tighten flow control valve (35) to a torque of 215 ± 25 N·m (159 ± 18 lb ft). Tighten plug assembly (37) to a torque of 23 ± 2 N·m (204 ± 18 lb in).

  2. Install orifices (24), O-ring seals (25), and plug assemblies (26) into load control valve (1). Tighten orifices (24) to a torque of 13 ± 2 N·m (115 ± 18 lb in). Tighten plug assemblies (26) to a torque of 23 ± 2 N·m (204 ± 18 lb in).

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.


  3. Remove O-ring seals (16), (17), (19), (20), and (23). Remove ring seals (18) and (21). Tighten valve body (22) to a torque of 59 ± 6 N·m (44 ± 4 lb ft). Tighten nut (15) to a torque of 20 ± 2 N·m (177 ± 18 lb in).

  4. Install flow control valve (14) into load control valve (1). Tighten flow control valve (14) to a torque of 95 ± 14 N·m (70 ± 10 lb ft).

  5. Remove valve (10), spring (11), O-ring seal (12), and plug assembly (13) into load control valve (1).

  6. Install poppet (2), poppet (3), retainer (4), spring (5), guide (6), spacers (7), O-ring seal (8), and plug (9) into load control valve (1).

End By:

  1. Install the load control valve (boom cylinder).
