Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately. |

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Use two people in order to remove plate assembly (1) . The weight of plate assembly (1) is approximately 24 kg (55 lb). Remove bolts (2) and plate assembly (1) .

- Use two people in order to remove plate assembly (3) . The weight of plate assembly (3) is approximately 26 kg (60 lb). Remove bolts (4) and plate assembly (3) .
- Drain the fuel tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the fuel tank is approximately 621 L (164 US gal).
- Remove cover (8) . Use two people in order to remove cover assembly (7) . The weight of cover assembly (7) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb). Remove bolts (9) and cover assembly (7) .

- Remove handrail assemblies (5) and (6) .
- Disconnect harness assemblies (10) and (12) . Cut cable straps (11) and reposition the harness assemblies.

- Disconnect hoses (14) and (16) .

- Attach Tooling (A) , Tooling (B) , and a suitable lifting device to fuel tank (13) . The weight of an empty fuel tank (13) is approximately 256 kg (565 lb). Remove bolts (15) and fuel tank (13) .
Installation Procedure
- Install fuel tank (13) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (15) . Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 520 ± 70 N·m (385 ± 52 lb ft).
- Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolts (2) and (4) .
